All packed up

Hi guys, it's been a really long while, hasn't it? There really isn't an excuse this time other than the fact that I never really got around to updating my life on this blog.

Truth is, and as anyone following me on any form of social media would know, it's been a long time coming that I have been growing out of KPop. I knew it, most people knew it. It was a long 2 years of me still trying to be into KPop but failing.

Earlier this year, Infinite had a comeback and my friends all tweeted me the MV and whatnot. And you know what? I honestly didn't care much about it and if they had not tweeted me, then I wouldn't have even known. At that point, any part of me left that thought that I was still into KPop was proven completely wrong. Shortly after, Beast also had a comeback, again, didn't care. I didn't care much about 2013 comebacks either but still bought the albums - god knows why. But this year, I made no KPop purchases.

In June, I actually packed up all my KPop things because I needed more space in my rooms to put my comics and statues (which I have been reading and following for the past 2-3 years). I needed wall space so I took down all my posters except the Infinite ones that I got from attending their Second Invasion concert, more for nostalgia and also the fact that those posters cannot be found anywhere. All the boxes are in my garage in storage.

I actually considered selling them because there is at least $6 000 worth of merchandise in those boxes but I couldn't bring myself to sell them. I still have fan towels and light sticks in my room for 'in case of emergency' concerts in Sydney lol. If CUBE artists or Infinite came to Australia, I'd definitely still go see them, but other than that, don't count on running into me at events like before.

So yep, that about wraps up why I haven't been posting here, I'm sure those who had followed this blog from the beginning also noticed the growing gaps between posts.

Sorry that I never got around to updating this blog about my leaving of the fandom. Sorry that I worried some people by suddenly disappearing. But all my other social media accounts and my personal blog are alive. You are welcome to follow me on other medias if you want but don't expect any form of KPop there and don't feel like you have to.

Thank you to those followers who have been with me through these years of my running of the blog. I appreciate you and hope that by now that you have found a good blog for Beast product reviews.

Beast BodyArt DVD + Towel

Okay so I'm not gonna lie to you guys, I bought this in 2012 when it came out and it was in shrink wrap on my KPop shrine until I decided to open it and take pictures for this post. Why? Well, it's just one of those exercise DVDs that I don't watch LMAO. I just bought it because it was Beast. But if you're into those kinds of DVDs then you should totally buy it xD

So inside the box, you get a photobook thing, a DVD, and 7 photocards (members + group) Not too shabby for $50 xD Oh and you also get the towel, but I got that outside the box, I don't know if that's normal or not? It was still in packaging though

The photobook just has pictures of the making-of the DVD, it's divided into sections of the different routines and the members and stuff like that. I took a few pictures that I liked, though there are many. They also have these element things happening, wood, fire, etc. It's all connected to the types of exercise, I didn't really get it.

The photocards are more like postcards, nothing out of the ordinary. Lovely pictures though, except Hyunseung's and Dongwoon's which I am unhappy with =\ The lighting looked weird and you can't even see Dongwoon's face.

The DVD, I didn't watch all of it, I just played around with it a bit for this post. Again, I'm not the type that watches these fitness-type DVDs. But it's the usual people on mats doing exercises and a voice over telling the viewer what to do as you copy their motions. The voice over is a woman and speaks kind of, robotic? But at least they can pronounce English fluently.

I tried to mess with the menu to see what I could get, since I had English voice and Korean subtitles. But the languages menu was in Korean so derp. The menu also lets you choose which kind of the exercises you wanted to watch, or you can choose all of them.

The towel is similar to the cheering towels you always see at concerts and stuff. I actually didn't know the point of the towel, maybe the towel is used in some of the exercises? Considering I didn't watch through all of it, I wouldn't know ahaha sorry that I can't talk about that part. Or maybe it's just for you to wipe your forehead with? That's a lot of trouble to go through to give people a towel with pictures on it though. Or, it could just be what I used it for, to hang up and show people that you have it xDDD I just hung up above my window in my other room (:

Well, that's it for the post. Sorry that I couldn't talk about the contents of the DVD, but it was just too long for me to watch. If you're like me and don't like watching these kinds of things, I wouldn't recommend that you buy it. But if you do like these things, go ahead, you'd be watching the Beast members doing it too ;)

Yoseob's The First Collage album

For those following my Coming Soon page, derp, sorry, it's out of order, I will post the BEAST Seasons Greeting 2014 pack in 2 weeks or so xD

So this album of Yoseob's is pretty old, I just looked up the release date and it came out on 26 November 2012 so I'm kind of very behind ahahahah

I really loved that the title song was called Caffeine because anyone that knows me knows that I'm a coffee addict and I cannot go through my day without my morning coffee, during uni, I have 3 coffees a day to keep me going xD The song is lovely and something you do expect to play at a cafe, also something I love, I love cafes.

 

The album packaging is just a simple flip-open thing. The cover is beautiful, the artwork is lovely andi love how they made parts of the packaging glossy and stick out a bit. I tried to take a close-up picture of the bird on the cover to show you guys.

The album also comes with a photocard, I know there are a few types, but I didn't go too crazy with the photocard collection this time as I usually do xDD I don't know why, I may buy more later, we shall see xD

The photos in the book are really nice, I took a picture of a few of my favourites, Yoseob can be hot and adorable in one photobook ahhhh my perfect thing <3

The poster is simple and elegant, I have it stuck up on the wall behind my piano and it's nice to walk by it. Not too high up so I can see it easily every morning :3

Alive and ready for a giveaway

Hi guys, I hope I still have readers.

Some of you guys may have noticed that I came back the other day with a new post. To not clutter up the previous entry (Beast official cheering towel) with too much information that was irrelevant to the post, I'm making this one (:

Again, I apologise for taking off again. Uni got stressful for me last semester, I was freaking out a lot more than usual and scared. I'm scared now. I wish I could say that life has been completely dandy, but I'd be lying. That's not to say that I'm in a terrible position right now and my life is in the gutter, no.

For those who have been following me for a few years, it's that time of year again. That time where I decide that I want this blog to be active and start posting. But then it dies during semester when things get rough. I think what I did at the end of last year where I had set days that I posted was a good idea and easy to manage and keep track of. So I think I'll do that again, but instead of posting twice a week, it'll only be once a week (with this one an exception, of course). I haven't really decided what day that I would be doing the posts yet, I'll decide that once Uni starts and I can see how to fit the schedule. But that isn't until March, so until then, I'll probably just be posting Sunday/Monday (GMT +10), with exception posts like random updates and announcements. But expect regular merchandise post once a week.

Anyways, there have been people interested in the giveaway that I was trying to hold and I think that it'd be a great way to start this blog again for the year. I found this nice little generator thing that you guys can enter with little fuss. I just set the options for entering, the start and end date, put the widget on my blog and the generator does the rest.

Beast official cheering towel

First of all, happy new year everyone!! As always, my blog died during the end of Semester 2 and it starting up again at the start of the year. I'm gonna try to keep it alive this year!! Someone slap me if I don't. Or if I go missing without notice.

I think that I will be changing the scheduling of the posts to once a week (little baby steps xD), although I haven't really decided on a day yet. The day will be decided once I get my university timetable and I'll pick a day that isn't too busy. But until that happens (mid-February), I'll just be posting maybe Sunday/Monday (: But more on the site updates in another post.

This post is gonna be a quick post about the Beast official slogan cheering towel. I'm sure you guys have seen this already, it's been around for like 2 years or something? And you always see fans in the crowd at music shows and concerts waving them.

These towels are just like other KPop ones, they come in these fancy zipped pouches, usually with the group logo on it. And they have a sheet of (tracing?) paper in the middle so that when you fold the towel, it doesn't smudge and imprint on the other side.

I have a few of these towels so I put a twist tie through all the hoops of the zips,twist an end to make a loop and just hang it above my vanity desk on a hook (:

Official Midnight Sun Button set

And I'm back! So sorry that I left without notice! My workload for both university and work just increased at the same time and I was feeling myself stressing more than I should so I spent a lot of time on studying. I haven't even been seeing friends and barely see my boyfriend unless I meet people to study with D:

But anyways! With my 21st birthday just past and me feeling very old, I think I should hurry up and finish my birthday presents from last year! This is another present from Jeanny, another gift from the Midnight Sun set. This time, it's just buttons/badges.

As you can see, I have not opened it yet. Because Jeanny wrote on the shrink wrap and I don't really have a use for these buttons even if I did open them so like, yeah, I don't see the harm of leaving them in the packaging? xD But that does mean that I can't give a detailed review. But buttons are buttons, what more do you need to know? xD I've put a ruler in the picture (cm) for you to see the sizes of the buttons - that are fairly big.

This following week is midsemester break so I will try to find time to post. I'll try to post more than just Tuesday and Friday so that I can quickly get up to date with the posts on my to-do list, but no promises!

This is the last of the birthday presents from last year. Expect a new post next Tuesday! :D

And to those in Australia, I'm sorry but I won't be attending XIA's concert tomorrow because of various reasons. But I hope that you guys do go and support him! Have fun tomorrow! Let the world of KPop know that we exist and love their artists so more will come down! =D

Official Midnight Sun L-holder set

So I'm not sure how many of you guys know that CUBE released a lot of official goods during the Midnight Sun period, including holder sets, ear plugs, photo clips, and everything! I'll be posting about all the ones I have! But the others won't come for a long while ><

So for the Midnight Sun sets, it's gonna have its own tag in case people want to see them all in one section. And I'll be naming them the way they are named on the products. So these are just regular A4-sized clearfiles that you have seen many times before. They had one for Welcome Back To Beast Airline concert merchandise (that I didn't end up blogging about OTL). I think the 'L' in the name stands for large? There's a set of six, one for each member. I actually use the KPop clearfiles a lot at uni, but I haven't gotten around to using these ones yet because I need to finish using the Infinite Second Invasion Evolution ones first ><

The pictures on the clearfiles at like the rest of the Midnight Sun goods, just the boys being sexy in a pool of water. Yum. Yes.

A big thank you to Jeanny for getting me this (along with heaps of other stuff) for my birthday last year!!

Midnight Sun album (Gold version)

First off, I'm sorry for not blogging last night! I was sick in bed after I got home ): My boyfriend was sick and it was windy the whole day while we went cherry blossom viewing. So yeah, I didn't feel too good and had to do paperwork before bed.

But this post is gonna be short! It's the gold version of Beast's Midnight Sun! This album is only sold at the CUBE cafe as far as I know? Of course, you can get it online like anything else, a little pricier though. However, I wouldn't know how much it costs because I got it as a birthday present last year from my friends (:

As you can see from the picture up the top, my album has gotten damaged since I got it.

Basically, if you look at my shrine then you can see that I have the album standing up. Over time, the mask fell and I didn't notice it to put it back up. So the glue was stuck to the album where it shouldn't be.

While trying to pull it off, it pulled a layer of the album and a puffy looking thing appears. Just before I took the picture, it happened again so yeah the one at the bottom there is the new one OTL

I recommend that you have it lying flat if you buy this or the original one. The mask will slip ><

The album is pretty much the same as the original Midnight Sun album except it's all gold. The photocards and the jacket shoot photos are the same, the disc is also the same.

But for some reason, the jewellery that dangles from the mask looks a lot better in gold. I really love how everything looks in this album really. Which is odd because I don't really prefer gold jewellery when it comes to something that I wear.

I tried to take a nice picture of the mask but it reflected too much and you could see my phone in the background. I didn't want to go further and zoom in a lot like what I did with the Hard to Love, How to Love album because the picture looks bad that you might as well now have it S:

TADAH!!!! This was the photocard that I got with the album TEEHEE!!! My collection of Beast Midnight Sun photocards completed!! How perfect is Yoseob in this photocard ARRGGGHHHH he is just so god damn perfect! And I loved that it was Yoseob that I got for my birthday!!

A huge big thank you to my lovely friends, Sandra, Sarah, Wendy and Grace, for getting me this album, it made me really happy opening it!! (: I love you girls! And we really need to catch up soon while we are completely stressed over uni xD

So this is the first post out of my birthday presents from last year, expect the next few posts to be birthday presents too~ I had quite a little Beastfinite shower last year xDDD

Birthday haul 2012

Ahh! I'm so sorry about the lateness! This blog was always planned to be a quick lazy one because I knew I'd be super busy today. I've been up since 6:30 am just doing paperwork and started feeling queasy at work and went home earlier than planned. I was in bed until just a while ago when I remembered that I hadn't blogged yet!!

With my next birthday just around the corner, I thought it'd be a good time to post this quick blog showing the birthday presents that I got last year! You can see all the different things my friends got me, ah~ I'm lucky to be so spoilt by both my parents and my friends. So yep, the next few blog entries will be about the gifts I got for my birthday last year that you can see in the image. Please look forward to them!

Hard to Love, How to Love album

Wooo so it's finally time the post that you've all been waiting for!!! The new Hard to Love, How to Love album!! And like I said, there'd be a giveaway for this album so I made sure to buy two ;) Hope you guys show enough interest for me to still go through with the giveaway though!

So the album is a pretty big cardboard box that opens up like a book. The top lid of the album has a cut out with a clear plastic sheet so it looks kinda of like a photo frame - which made life so difficult trying to take a nice picture of the album without getting the reflection of my phone in the shot /facepalm

I took so many shots and the nicest one without a terrible reflection is one that looks lower quality as a picture than the others OTL I had to move higher and zoom in so yeah.

CUBE why must you make my life so difficult xD

So the album is a big box that is obvious filled with more than just a CD xD Half of it is just padding for the CD. But above the CD is a lot of cardboard photos, a cardboard photo stand and a regulare jacket shoot book.

Okay so I've broken the jacket shoot photos into two bunchs for this blog because LOL. The above photos are just, I can't even. I'm not saying the boys look back, but the photos are just so terribly green-screened it hurts my eyes xDD And if it's not green-screen, it's a terrible photoshop job. Like seriously, CUBE could hire some B2UTY tumblr editor and do a better job. Some of the pictures are a lot worse than the others. Hyunseung's one up there is like, extremely terribad lol like oh my god.

Okay so special mention to Hyunseung for the jacket shoots because FUCK HE LOOKED FUCKING AMAZING. Like jeez I can't even UGGHHHHH QUISE JUST LOOK AT HIM. I mean Yoseob looked perfect as always because Yoseob is all kinds of perfect. And Doojoon is Doojoon, who sets standards to sex skyrocketing to impossibility. But FUCK GUYS. HYUNSEUNG. To those that know me, you're probably thinking "it's the blonde" and well, you're probably right. LMAO. BUT I DON'T EVEN CARE. HE IS #)%(UBN()%#BN(#%

Yeah okay. I'm good now. No wait. I'm not. FWAAHH#%)UN)Q(%UGAHH)%#G()%UNUGHH#%*G&Q()%HYUNSEUNG#*G%BUN()%#()%#GJ)%U#

Okay. Now I'm good. LOL!

Moving on~

So this album came with a set of seven cardboard photos and a cardboard photo stand that can hold the pictures. The one of the album cover has a group picture on the other side that I didn't figure out when I first took the picture so you'll see it in a picture below xDD

So the photos fit very snuggly inside the frame. The frame folds out from the back and there's there slit in the front (refer to first photo) and you just slip it in. You might thing that it would be weird for the photo if the stand part of the frame pokes out, because that's what I thought. But once you put the photo in, you can't even tell. I mean of course if you plunge the thing through the slit then yeah okay, it will be noticeable, but you can go like close to 1 cm without it being noticeable - you don't even need to poke it in that far to have it stand and not slip out anyways (refer to third photo).

So you can have the photo stand portrait if you plan on using one of the sis members, or you can use it landscape if you want to hold the group photo instead (:

And now it's time for the photocard! I'm sure you guys were wondering which cards I got hmm??

Well you guys should know that I usually start buying two copies of an album that comes with photocards - at the beginning. Then if I don't get my bias I usually buy two or three more. And even then I don't, well, let's not bring back memories of Infinite's Inspirit album in where I bought nine copies trying to get Sunggyu \ 0 /

I bought Destiny and Hard to Love, How to Love at the same time, I opened Destiny first, getting Dongwoo twice, but luckily Michael let me open another one - which ended up being Hoya. So I bought those two. I then proceeded to open the Beast one, and FIRST GO I GOT YOSEOB LIKE HOLY FUCK THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME LOL. I mean you guys saw my Midnight Sun post, I bought six copies and got every member but Yoseob. Like photocards just really fucking hate me LMAO!! I then opened the second one and this was going to be the giveaway one - unless it was Doojoon, in which case I'd buy a third one xD and it was Dongwoon so woot! You guys get double Dongwoon for the giveaway!!

Moving onto the poster; first off, I must apologise for the paperweights being int he way. I haven't had time - nor the wall space, to stick it up yet. So it's been rolled up with quite a few other posters of mine, and so I unrolled it and put it on the floor for the picture. The poster is alright, all that stuff isn't glare in my shot or anything, it's in the photo. It's the same shoot as the second part of the jacket shoot - thank god. Because if it was the first one with the terrible green-screen, I would have died. The poster is pretty nice though. Hyunseung. LOL!
